May
I be (a tiny bit) serious
for a moment? Life deals us all
blows - big or small, frequent or once-in-a-lifetime blows
that shake our foundations ....My
little family has faced its share of these critical times,
each one different and scary beyond words. My
secret weapon during
times like these has always been
CREATIVITY -
Making Things- finding that
calm, timeless place where my hands and inspiration take
over for my brain. I
can document every crisis with some sort of handmade item.
Strangely enough, they aren't dark,
depressing works but are joyous, optimistic, and some of the
best pieces I've ever made.
CREATIVITY
gives us a respite from our worries, infinite
ways to express our joy, and toasty toes in the winter..... Our
mission, at
Florilegium,
is to provide materials,
opportunities and
(hopefully)
inspiration to all of
you who wish to flex your
Creative Muscle. We have lots of ideas for
inexpensive,but thoughtful gifts and beautiful materials
worthy of your time.

Well, we've finally done it! After years of painting,
gluing, decoupaging, dyeing, collaging, embossing,
glittering, curling, writing, binding, stamping, carving, ET
CETERA....we've finally added paints, glues, blank books,
dyes, inks, pens, rubber stamps, stamp pads, powders, glass
glitter, Shiva stiks, mediums, tools, ET CETERA. Oh, did I
forget to mention the Mizuhiki, waxed linen, silk buttonhole
twist, Rajmahal, hempsilk, paper solvy, gold
leaf..........ET CETERA?
