We were thrilled to discover this family of SnowPeople on our doorstep this morning. They are "living" proof that there's great fun to be had, even in the midst of freezing temps and snowflakes as big as your hand. If you are more tempted by the crackling fire and your favorite blankie, we have lots to keep you occupied until the thaw.

  If you haven't heard of this wacky group - you have been missing out on some fun!  The 2nd Saturday of each month you are invited to participate in unusual artsy/craftsy projects beginning at 10:30 a.m and lasting until.....you are ready to leave!  Call for the project of the month.  Reservations are not required - but are appreciated!  We want you to have lots of fun - and did we mention food? This is an unusual group that will help you climb out of your box and learn some things you might not realize you need to know!!!  For more details, please call 746-6164.

Diane Thaemert, of TWO CRAFTY CHIX, will be at Florilegium on Friday, April 11 from 5:00-8:00p.m. and

Saturday, April 12 from 10:00a.m. until 3:00p.m.

with a huge assortment of her fabulousand witty handmade charms plus 100 pairs of earrings. You will want to collect them all!!! (I know I do, so you'd better beat me to them!!....)

As usual at these sorts of affairs, We will EAT, DRINK and BE MERRY!!

Our notorious Challenge is in full swing, again, and we dare you to join us!! It doesn't have to cost a cent to participate. Free Challenge packets are available at the store.

Our next Celebration Party will be Saturday, March 8, at 1:00p.m. Whether you have taken the current Challenge, or not, you are welcome to come, eat chocolate and be dazzled by everyone's projects. The next Challenge will begin that day, too. Come celebrate creativity with us and stretch your brain in amazing new directions!!

Here's an easy little checkerboard that you can make with a square of needlepoint canvas, yarn and beads. Plot out 8 equal squares in each direction, leaving 2" on each side for blocking.  Choose two colors you love together and fill in the blocks with Cross Stitch. If you like, stitch beads around the outside, or anywhere else you choose. Attach your finished piece to a board or heavy cardboard. For extra fun, make your own checkers with FIMO, seed beads and some crystals.
